Fire safety compliance can get incredibly complicated as regulations are forever changing so it can be difficult to spot if your fire door is in full working order and compliant.
We work within multiple sectors to ensure that they are up to date with their buildings fire safety. It is our aim to ensure that their environment is safe for all occupants.
Evolution have a team of surveyors with extensive expertise to support you with fire door inspections and compartmentation surveys.
What to expect
Before a survey is carried out there are some important steps that need to take place.

Evolution are a BM Trada accredited company, this means we can carry out surveys and maintenance in line with the Q-Mark Fire Door Maintenance Scheme when requested. This enables us to maintain or replace a current door set's components based on the requirements and limitations of the scheme. This can allow the door to meet its certification or the fire resistance period that the door is to achieve.

Due to the strict guidelines within the scheme, it will be required of the client to provide a fire risk assessment or a fire line drawing that displays the compartmentation plans and the expected fire resistance. This will then be reviewed by the surveyor prior to the inspection date. Once we are happy with the documentation provided, we will determine whether a architrave survey is necessary, with a form to be completed by the client stating which doors will be inspected in an intrusive check.

We are also able to carry out inspections conducting in a similar format however, they will not be signed off under BM Trada.
​
Whether it be a basic door check or under BM Trada, upon the inspections completion we will provide you with a full report outlining each of the doors defects with photographic evidence.

Once the maintenance quotation has been accepted, we will then provide a timescale for the works to commence. Once the works have been completed you will receive a secondary report for remedials alongside a certificate confirming that the fire doors have been maintained in line with BS8214 code of practice.
